I wanted this celebration to reflect the heart behind Mia’s Chromosome Journey.
We’ll gather, share a little of the story behind the book, talk about motherhood, Down syndrome, advocacy and inclusion, enjoy a special reading, and—most importantly—have time to connect with one another.
There will be books to sign, photos to take, conversations to share, and memories to make.
Because this book was never meant to be only our story.
It was written with the hope that another parent, another family, or another person standing at the beginning of an unexpected journey might feel a little more hopeful—and a little less alone.

For a long time, Mia’s Chromosome Journey existed quietly—in memories, lessons, difficult moments, beautiful milestones, and words I hoped might someday help another family.
Then it became a manuscript. Then a book.
And on October 17, I’ll be sitting beside it, meeting readers and signing copies for the very first time.
That thought still feels a little surreal.
